GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – Gulfport Police located and arrested Laquenta Dehayta Quinn Monday night.

Police began searching for Quinn after they said he left the scene of a fatal accident.

Police teams were called to the accident involving two vehicles that occurred at the intersection of Sahil Boulevard and Courthouse Road at 15.05 on October 26.

Police teams arriving at the scene found that one person had died and the other person was taken to a local hospital.

Detectives determined that Quinn was the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop at a traffic light near the intersection, causing the crash.

After the crash, police said Quinn got out of his vehicle and fled on foot.

Quinn is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
