Drug-driving arrest after child seriously injured in crash in Bradford

The collision happened on Undercliffe Old Road in Bradford on Wednesday night.

A person who was seriously injured when a 10-year-old child was hit by a car was arrested on suspicion of drug use.

The boy collided with a gray Mercedes on Undercliffe Old Road in Bradford just before 20:20 GMT on Wednesday.

West Yorkshire Police said the man was taken to hospital with serious but life-threatening injuries.

The 21-year-old driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while in poor health due to drugs.
