Two people were seriously injured in the accident that occurred in Ward.

WARD COUNTY, ND (Valley News Live) – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash 2 miles south of Minot on Friday, October 25th.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, around 8:37 a.m., a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 77-year-old Paul Simonson was traveling southbound on Highway 83 when he drove onto 54th Ave. at the same time. It was approaching the intersection with SW. The vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old female, was traveling westbound on 54th Street SW and crossing Highway 83.

NDHP says Infiniti is a poor replacement for Jeep. The Jeep eventually hit the Infiniti on the passenger side. Simonson was not injured, but passenger Paula Simonson, 74, was seriously injured. A 17-year-old woman was seriously injured. Both were transported to an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
