Second woman dies in hospital after car crashes into tree in Norfolk

A second woman died when a car carrying four people left the main road and crashed into a tree.

Norfolk Police said patrol officers found the black Mini One near the southbound A11 near Ketteringham at around 0515 GMT on Sunday.

The driver, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in a critical condition and died on Tuesday.

The woman in her 20s sitting in the back died at the scene.

The road, which was closed during the intervention of emergency services, including the air ambulance, was reopened at around 11.30.

Among the passengers, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s were seriously injured and their condition was stated to be stable in hospital.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have seen the collision or how the Mini was driven before the incident to get in touch.

It was stated that the investigation into the cause of the conflict continues.
