More details confirmed when Dacia Duster goes into production

The original Dacia Duster was launched in 2010, its first revision was in 2017 and has since been awarded more than 40 awards. After more than a decade, Dacia has officially launched the third generation of the iconic model.

The all-new Duster still has the striking looks that topped its predecessors, but with a new design twist: features like a sharp, upright face, wheel arch guards, large trunk lid, side windows and a stylish tailgate. Belt wrapping adds to its durability.

The new Duster is the first production model to use Starkle, a new material invented by Dacia engineers that leaves a smaller carbon footprint in the production process.

The new Duster’s interior features a 10.1-inch central display, a new instrument panel, vents that resemble wheel arches, and a steering wheel with flattened surfaces at the top and bottom for easier use.

It is built on the competitive and flexible CMF-B platform, first seen in the latest models. sanderoallowing a spacious cabin for both passengers and cargo while maintaining the same length (4.34m). Its advanced engineering also helps reduce vibration and noise, and the platform can also accommodate powertrains using mild-hybrid and full-hybrid technologies.

Three new hybrid powertrains are available for the new Duster. This includes the HYBRID 140, TCe 130 and TCe 100 Bi-Fuel. It also offers the option of a 4×2 or 4×4 version; The former offers good ground clearance and loose surface capability, while the latter offers true off-road capability.

The new Duster also offers 4×4 Terrain Control and includes five driving modes: auto, snow, mud/sand, off-road and eco. It also features Hill Manners Control, which helps on rough terrain and steep hills by keeping the vehicle’s speed under control regardless of gear, allowing the driver to focus on steering.
