BCSO says woman charged in crash that killed two people

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A 53-year-old woman is facing multiple charges in connection with the following incident: accident that killed two peopleAccording to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the 27200 Block of Interstate 10 West on Tuesday around 2:46 p.m.

BCSO said upon arrival, deputies found three vehicles involved in the crash.

Deputies say a woman driving a gray Hyundai was rear-ended by a white Chevrolet and a red Ford truck.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to BCSO.

The driver of the white Chevrolet died at a local hospital, while the passenger died at the scene, BCSO said.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the two people who died as 38-year-old Fabian Pedraza Rebollar and 46-year-old Rufino Pedraza Rebollar.

The driver of the red Ford truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators found that the woman driving the gray Hyundai showed no signs of braking before the crash, BCSO said.

Open containers were also found in the woman’s vehicle, according to BCSO. Investigators are working to determine the woman’s blood alcohol concentration at the time of the crash.

The woman was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon while she was recovering in the hospital, BCSO said.
