EAST FORT WORTH – Fort Worth police are investigating after a teenager was shot and killed by another teenager.

The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Avenue L in east Fort Worth. The boy, who was injured by a bullet that hit his upper body, died at the scene.

The teams identified the suspect, who was also a child. Authorities said the suspect shot the victim with a handgun.

The suspect’s statement to the police is being taken, but no arrest has been made. Homicide Bureau teams continue the investigation.
