The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says one person was injured after a two-car crash at the intersection of State Route 31 and Gannett Road in Galen Township.

Deputies arriving at the scene determined that Michael A. Strecker, 57, of Clyde, was responsible for the collision, which occurred when Strecker’s vehicle rear-ended another vehicle on the road. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of leg pain, according to authorities.

Strecker received a traffic ticket for following too closely and not driving at a reasonable and prudent speed. He is scheduled to answer to the charges in Galen Town Court at a later date.

Clyde Fire Department and Wayne County EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
