Arsenal have received major injury support ahead of their matches against Inter Milan and Chelsea as captain Martin Odegaard returns to training after a two-month absence.

However, England international midfielder Declan Rice was not seen in training this morning and Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth claimed he may have just been doing his own individual training.

The Arsenal star played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United and more information will emerge in the coming hours to clear things up.

Odegaard’s return is a much-needed boost for Arsenal ahead of next weekend’s international break and manager Mikel Arteta can’t wait to see him on the pitch against Inter and Chelsea.

Arsenal have performed well in the Champions League so far; had two wins and one draw in the first three matches of the group stage.

But they have lost to Bournemouth and the Magpies in their last three Premier League matches and cannot afford to drop any more points when they face the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
