What we know: The accident, which involved multiple vehicles, was reported at 10.55pm on Saturday night and left a tanker truck on its side. The truck was carrying an estimated 8,000 gallons of aviation fuel, of which 500 to 1,000 gallons spilled onto the road, fire officials said.

It was determined that one person died at the scene. Two people injured in the accident suffered minor injuries. The tanker driver was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle and had no contact with the LA Fire Department, fire officials said.
