Four girls suffer ‘potentially life-changing injuries’ in bathroom of Brighton fast food restaurant | UK News

Four girls suffered serious burns in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant in Brighton.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at the Wendy’s restaurant on Western Road at 8.28pm on Thursday, which also happened to be Halloween. Brighton.

Four 12-year-old girls suffered “potentially life-changing” injuries and were taken to hospital, according to Sussex police.

Their condition is serious but stable.

Sussex Police and the Fire Brigade are still investigating the cause of the incident but said there were no fireworks involved.

According to the fire and rescue service, the incident was accidental and the public was not at risk.

Three fire trucks, an aircraft and expert officers attended.

The police force said they would not be releasing any further information at this time as they were “sensitive to any injuries to those involved.”
