South Lincoln home hit by bullets overnight, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -Lincoln Police are investigating a drive-by shooting.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the area of ​​40th Street and Old Cheney.

Police teams said that when they arrived at the scene, they found that many bullets had hit a house. According to LPD, officers located a total of nine bullet holes damaging the front door, an exterior wall, a living room wall and two separate bedroom walls.

Lincoln Police said a fired bullet was found inside and an unspent bullet was found outside. The damage is estimated to be around $400.

It was stated that there were no injuries in the incident. The investigation continues.
