Solving Hernandez and Lloyd’s murder

When Aaron Hernandez kills Odin Lloyd — “The tragedy at the center of episode 8”American Sports Story” – The Patriots’ end is completely broken.

We’re watching the last episode of the FX series adapted from The Boston Globe spot series and accompanying podcastIt’s shocking to think that no one — not Hernandez’s fiancée, not any member of the player’s family, and especially not the Patriots, who gave him a $40 million contract despite every warning sign — stepped in and enlisted Hernandez’s help.

But it seems no one did, so in episode 8 we see Lloyd, a sweet-natured, semi-professional football player from Dorchester, dragged out of the car in the middle of the night and shot to death by Hernandez. Now extremely paranoid and suspicious of nearly everyone in his life, Hernandez believed that Lloyd, whom he had met a few days earlier, was an informant and could not be trusted.

Lloyd’s is the third murder we see Hernandez commit on “American Sports Story,” but it’s the only murder he commits. prisoner related to. a jury Acquitted Hernandez of murder Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado during a drive-by shooting in downtown Boston in 2012.

(In the Hernandez murder case, Jenkins testified that he was not told what was in the box and did not look. He said that he put the box and a few clothes in a garbage bag, and put the bag in the garbage bin, the location of which he could not remember.)

The episode ends with police showing up outside Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough. They ask the NFL player if he knows Odin Lloyd and when was the last time he saw him. Detectives tell Hernandez they are investigating Lloyd’s murder.

“I need to talk to my lawyer,” Hernandez said before returning inside.
