    Vance ‘didn’t hear’ racist comments made at Trump rally in New York

    Vance also took aim at immigrants on Monday, trying to temper the heat generated by his weekend rally by repeating his oft-used remarks that they are taking away jobs and homes from U.S. citizens.

    “Our country was built by frontiersmen who conquered the wilderness; we cannot restore the greatness of American civilization if we take offense at every little thing,” he said. “Let’s crack some jokes, have some fun, and win in eight days.”

    At the end of the rally, Vance was asked about the progress of the Sunday rally and whether he was worried about entering the final days of the campaign. When asked about racist jokes, Vance ignored it.

    Vance on Trump’s “plan” to mass deport illegal immigrants

    On Friday, Johnson said: Mass deportations will not occur under Trump administration.

    “There will be no mass deportation of 10 million people,” Johnson said on Friday. “It won’t happen.”

    Johnson said Republicans need to be “realistic” about those who are undocumented but have not committed another crime. His comments directly contradict Trump’s campaign.

    The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel asked Vance in Racine if he agreed with Johnson, but he did not answer the question directly. He said he had spoken to Johnson about not deporting millions of undocumented people.

    “We must stop the massive flow of illegal immigration in the first place, and you can do that by building the wall, reimposing deportations, and stopping Kamala Harris’ ridiculous catch and release policy,” Vance said.

    He said violent criminal immigrants should be deported, but others would be deported as well if Trump is reinstated.

    “You can’t say that everyone who comes here illegally will stay in the United States,” Vance said. “If you do that, you have no real limits. So yes, we will deport people who come to the United States illegally. “We have to do this, or the American people will suffer.”

    Vance said it should be harder for undocumented immigrants to work in the country.

    “We want legal residents and citizens to work in this country, not to employ illegal workers,” Vance said, adding that he has spoken to local law enforcement agencies that want to work with the federal government on immigration issues. “We’re empowering our law enforcement to do their jobs and making it harder for illegal aliens to work in this country, which I think will go a long way toward solving the immigration problem.”

    ‘They have to come from the right way’

    Beyond violent immigrants, Vance talked about other problems he perceived related to the influx of undocumented immigrants at his Racine campaign stop.

    “We’re not talking about the fact that we often welcome people into this country who don’t speak their native language,” Vance said.

    Vance also blamed illegal immigrants for “skyrocketing” emergency room wait times.

    “I’m not accusing anyone of wanting to come to the United States,” he said. “But first of all, they need to get on the right track.”

    In Wausau, Vance says he’s ‘feeling good’ about Wisconsin

    Vance gathered voters at the Central Wisconsin Airport just outside Wausau, where he said he sees Trump winning the state next week.

    “I feel great about where we are, but I’m a little bit superstitious,” he said. “But I think the path we’re going to take is going to allow us to win Wisconsin, win Michigan, win Pennsylvania and really, really take this country back in a big way.”

    He encouraged attendees to go to the polls with nine other people and “vote 10 times.”

    “We’ve got to make sure we screw up the vote, because if we don’t, we’re going to elect Kamala Harris as president of the United States,” he said. “And I don’t want a four-year nightmare for the United States of America. I want to return to the peace and prosperity of Donald J. Trump.”

    Vance also encouraged his supporters to vote early if possible. Early voting in the state began last Tuesday, and so far polling places have been inundated with people wanting to fill out their ballots early.

    Senator Ron Johnson calls for Kaul’s impeachment

    U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson was in Wausau with Vance and opened his speech by criticizing Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul. Wausau Mayor investigating Doug Diny for the removal of a ballot box.

    Harris and Trump campaigns expected to make several appearances in Wisconsin this week

    Both presidential candidates are expected to make several appearances in Wisconsin over the next eight days through Nov. 5.
