Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man who was found unresponsive at his home in Clarke Street, Suva.

It was determined that the person in question was Lance Seeto, a well-known chef and restaurant owner who lived alone in an apartment on the street.

FBC News understands that Seeto’s restaurant staff have been trying to reach him by phone since yesterday without success.

When they came to deliver his breakfast this morning, they noticed he was unresponsive and immediately notified the building’s security guard.

While the police removed the body from the scene around 12.30, investigations are continuing to determine the cause of death.
