Hajj applications of all individuals aged 70 and over to perform the pilgrimage in the upcoming 1446-2025 season were accepted by the General Directorate of Islamic Affairs, Foundations and Zakat. Applications were accepted according to approved criteria and conditions.

The official said that around 60,248 people registered for Hajj through their channels, 51,732 of whom had not performed Hajj before.

Saudi Arabian Hajj and Umrah authorities allocated a quota of 6,228 pilgrims to the UAE, which were distributed to citizens according to the reference system for Hajj affairs. UAE officials stated that the electronic Hajj and Umrah system completed the initial sorting process in a smooth, flexible and transparent manner.

3,051 permits, constituting 49 percent of the total quota, were approved in the categories of determined people, those with chronic diseases and the elderly with their companions. This includes all registered individuals aged 70 and over.

In addition, 3,177 permits were allocated to other age groups with their companions, accounting for 51 percent of the total quota.

The official emphasized that accepted pilgrims will be informed via text message, and those who are not selected will also be informed.

The Authority confirmed its commitment to enable pilgrims in the country to complete the necessary procedures within the specified time frame, in line with the interactive digital Hajj package as part of its strategy and early preparations for the season, which are in line with the vision of our wise leadership. government goals.

He announced that Hajj campaign programs will be approved and announced in December, encouraging pilgrims to follow their channels and communicate through designated means.
