One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing in East Vancouver on Sunday morning.

In a statement from the Vancouver Police Department, it was stated that the police intervened in the stabbing incident that occurred just after 11:30 in front of a cafe in the 200 block of Keefer Street.

The 56-year-old injured person was taken to hospital because his injuries were not life-threatening.

Police said no arrests have been made, but the victim and suspect are believed to know each other.

“The investigation continues,” the police said.
