Trump rally at MSG: What time, how to watch, guests

Former President Donald Trump He will host a hometown rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, just nine days before Election Day.

“Madison Square Garden is the center of the universe,” Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller said, noting that the venue has hosted many events, including the 1971 “Fight of the Century.”

The rally is one of a series of detours Trump has made through battleground states, including a recent one in Coachella, Calif., and a rally on the Jersey Shore over the summer. He campaigned this summer South Bronx.

Trump insisted the MSG rally was part of a larger effort to win New York — a state President Joe Biden held four years ago with more than 60 percent of the vote — but also made clear the rally was personal.

“This is New York, but it’s also MSG, Madison Square Garden,” Trump said in a recent radio interview. “Those words mean a lot to guys like you and me. Madison Square Garden, right? Don’t you think? … This is a big stop.”

The rally will start at 17.00

The doors opened at noon.

MSG has a seating capacity of 19,500 people.

Accordingly Fox NewsTesla CEO Elon Musk and UFC CEO Dana White will also be in town for the rally.

The event will feature a number of political figures, celebrities and musical artists. Notable guests include:

Owned by Madison Square Garden a history in politics, Hosts events with Dwight Eisenhower and Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 1962, John F. Kennedy Jr. held a birthday celebration at the stadium, where Marilyn Monroe famously sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”

But if there’s one piece of Garden history that Trump might want to replicate, it’s Grover Cleveland’s acceptance of his party’s nomination in 1892, three years after leaving the White House. By winning the election, he became the first and only president to serve two consecutive terms.

NYPD Chief John Chell said there will be a heavy police presence and traffic restrictions in and around the Garden, limiting cars and pedestrians.

The following streets will likely be limited to oncoming traffic:

  • 33rd Street between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue
  • 32nd Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue
  • 31st Street between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue
  • 30th Street between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue
  • 7th Avenue will be closed to pedestrians from 34th Street to 29th Street
