Mike Tindall reveals the surprising way he addressed Princess Anne behind closed doors

“He accepts all the fans and they come from all over,” he added.

When asked by host Susanna Reid what she called her mother-in-law, Mike replied: “Mom.”

It’s no secret that Mike has intimate relationship with his father-in-law. The rugby star previously thanked the royal family, especially the late Queen Elizabeth II, for making him feel so welcome after marrying Zara in 2011. He respected Elizabeth.

The father of three also shared an insight into his relationship with Princess Kate in a previous episode of his podcast. When asked about the Princess’ rugby skills following training at Twickenham Stadium in 2022, Mike revealed he wanted to know how well Kate was playing so he could tease her on the family WhatsApp group.

“I texted Ellis (Genge) and said, ‘Dude, please tell me what he messed up,’ so I was kind of… I was able to get the WhatsApp group together and reach out to him and he said, ‘No, it was actually pretty good and that.’ ‘He was really good at kicking,’ and I thought (sighs). But he has a competitive nature,” Mike said.
