A Sussex town has won an award in a prestigious national flower competition.

Haywards Heath in West Sussex has won gold at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) British Bloom finals.

Judges who visited in July 2024 were impressed by the presentation of the railings and the overall appearance of Muster Green in the town.

Councilor Sandy Ellis, chair of the Haywards Heath In Bloom Committee, said: “We are very proud of this fantastic achievement, our first foray into the UK.”
