It’s a warm Sunday with a chance of much-needed rain on the horizon.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – We’re in the middle of a hot, dry weekend with rain chances approaching again as we approach Halloween.

Patchy morning fog is expected on Sunday, with lows dropping from the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Highs will once again climb into the mid-80s under clear skies.

We will start the new work week with a similar forecast. Monday morning will bring scattered fog into the commute with highs reaching the mid-80s under bright sun.

Tuesday will be windy but will remain dry and mostly sunny. The possibility of light rain will return to the forecast by mid-week.

Unlike the cold and windy Halloween we had last year, this year we’ll be in the low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds and a 40% chance of rain.

Our next strong cold front doesn’t look like it will arrive near the second weekend of November.
