ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Michigan State enters Ann Arbor to face the Wolverines, and surprisingly, both teams enter the game with the same score: 4-3. Michigan has lost two games in a row — the Spartans looked impressive against Iowa last weekend — and a big part of what didn’t help Michigan, other than turnovers, was a lack of depth.

Injuries accumulate on corn and blue plants. During last weekend’s loss against Illinois, Michigan was without LT Myles Hinton and DT Rayshaun Benny, who played major roles. Star cornerback Will Johnson also left the game after one series. Pete Thamel had reported early Saturday morning that Johnson was expected to miss the game against Michigan State.

Are things looking better for Michigan? After releasing the injury report before Michigan State, the Wolverines are without Amorion Walker, Will Johnson, Rayshaun Benny and other players, including Jack Tuttle.

The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
