33-year-old Bay View woman seriously injured in hit-and-run after race

A 33-year-old woman, known to many as a popular bar employee in the Bay View neighborhood, was seriously injured when a street racing driver struck her while crossing the street, according to Milwaukee police.

Police said the collision occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of South Kinnickinnic Avenue.

According to police, when one of the vehicles hit a pedestrian, both vehicles fled the scene. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
