BATESVILLE, Ark. (KAIT/Edited News Release) — The Montessori Christian Academy school board is pleased to announce the appointment of Sabrina McCorkle as the new Elementary Program Director.

McCorkle has over 18 years of teaching experience with extended instruction in literacy and reading in private and public schools. She is certified to teach through 6th grade and directs Montessori Christian Academy’s elementary curriculum and instruction for students in grades 1 and above.

Sabrina lives in Patterson, Arkansas with her husband and two children. He describes teaching as “definitely my profession.” I love watching kids have lightbulb moments and I love teaching about Jesus.

Stan Fretwell, president of the Montessori Christian Academy school board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sabrina to MCA. McCorkle joins Elementary Program Director Sara Wilson, a certified Montessori educator with 14 years of teaching experience, as well as Assistant Teacher Ambra Hannah and Teacher Assistant Tammy Adams.

Children between the ages of 2.5 and 6 participate in the Primary Education Program. Both programs use Montessori teaching methods that emphasize children’s natural curiosity, multi-sensory learning with natural materials, and encourage confident students in a child-centered environment. Montessori Christian Academy welcomes students from all backgrounds and offers immediate vacancies for new students.

Founded in 2006, the school became known as Montessori Christian Academy in 2014. MCA is a private school dedicated to holistic Montessori education based on Christian principles.
