FORMER Carlton midfielder Jack Carroll prepares to set foot in his new home as St Kilda are closing in on signing the former Blues youngster as a delisted free agent.

The delisted free agency period closes on Friday afternoon and Carroll will become the third player to receive an AFL lifeline.

He left Carlton at the end of this season after making 15 appearances for the Blues in 2024, making 21 appearances in his career.

The 21-year-old player was selected with the 41st pick in the 2020 draft.

The West Australian had multiple clubs pursuing him throughout the season; Greater Western Sydney is, as previously explained, Receivable I was interested in him as a potential rookie pick last month.

Former teammate Jack Martin (joining Geelong) and former Saint Tim Membrey (Collingwood) are other players who have found new homes in the DFA period.
