Marshall County Sheriff Donald Yow won re-election in race against Danny Cryer

MARSHALL COUNTY, Oklahoma (KXII) – Marshall County Sheriff Donald Yow (R) was re-elected as sheriff compete against former sheriff Danny Cryer, who is running as an independent.

“It’s very humbling,” Yow said. “It’s just the voter turnout and the trust that citizens have in our community and want to continue to have in us. “One of the things we’re going to continue to do is build that trust and continue to work on those partnerships.”

Cryer served as Marshall County Sheriff from 2016 to 2020, and Yow has held the position since 2021.

Yow won the race with 71% of the vote and says he plans to increase manpower in the district by recruiting more MPs, but he says this is only superficial.

“We will focus on that, as well as more community involvement and developing some technologies,” Yow said. “Our main focus right now is recruiting MPs and we will be accepting applications for these positions tomorrow.”
