    Senate Likely to Switch to GOP Control as Republican Wins Ohio Seat

    Republican Bernie Moreno is expected to win the Ohio race against incumbent Sherrod Brown; This victory will likely give Republicans control of the Senate.

    As of 11:30 p.m. Eastern time, Moreno was leading with 50.6% of the vote, with 92% of the votes counted. Moreno was strongly supported by the cryptocurrency industry, which saw Brown as an obstacle to the passage of legislation expected to help cryptocurrency in the United States.

    Earlier in the night, former West Virginia governor Jim Justice won the seat of retired Sen. Joe Manchin, who caucused with Democrats, as expected.
