Detectives searching for men after dog’s death at Cobb County apartments

Cobb County detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a group of men believed to be connected to an animal cruelty investigation.

The investigation began July 30 when Cobb County Animal Services was called to the Legacy at West Cobb Apartments in the 2600 block of Favor Road, authorities said.

According to investigators, the body of a dog was found in a metal crate in the complex’s garbage dump. The dog was removed from the cage and removed from the property before Animal Services arrived on scene.

Detectives believe the animal drowned in the bathtub before the group disposed of the body.

Investigators shared photos from the men’s surveillance cameras in hopes someone might recognize them.
