Nottingham Forest 3-0 West Ham: Fan opinions

We asked for your thoughts after the Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and West Ham on Saturday.

Here are some of your comments:

Nottingham Forest fans:

Luke: Undoubtedly the best win of our time in the Premier League. There is so much freedom and trust in the team that it’s hard not to get carried away by where this season could take us. We should have accepted the fact that West Ham are terrible, but maybe we were the ones who made them look so bad? I can’t wait until the next game!

Mat: We are a team that has completely transformed since our first two seasons in the Premier League. Harmony at the back, threat going forward. It’s still early, but being third from the top instead of third from the bottom is something else! Nuno has worked hard with these players and is reaping the rewards! Three wins at the top!

Kris: Forest were irresistible, the back four were tremendous, Moreno and Aina were scoring goals. Wood is improving under Nuno and Anderson is here to show everyone why losing to MGW wasn’t that big of a blow. Third in the league… It’s like the Clough years are back at Trentside!

Ken: Contestants. City and Arsenal are clearly beatable and we have already beaten Liverpool at home and drawn with Chelsea. We have one of the most talented rosters in the league, with excellent quality protection at every position and a truly excellent coach for the long term. If Leicester can do it, why can’t we? Let’s see how far we will go! There is no fear.

West Ham fans:

-Liam: I was there. We were desperate. The body language of the players said it all. No communication, no tempo, no plan, no desire. The manager’s term will expire soon. The forest was everything we weren’t fair to them. Ten men or not, I suspect the outcome would have been the same.

-Joe: The rhetoric will be that the mistake was to get rid of Moyes. Wrong, mistake was hiring Lopetegui. There are 12 competitive matches now and I’m still unclear on what his style of play is or what his strongest team is. He has no idea and the players are clearly not playing for him; Alvarez’s red and our constant surrender while going backwards are clear examples of this.

Matthew: Same old West Ham. There is no energy, no desire to move the ball forward and a real lack of cohesion is emerging with the increasing cracks in our squad. Paqueta doesn’t seem to want to play for us anymore, we’ll never score at the City Ground and Chris Wood will keep scoring against us until he’s 49!

Roger: After 10 matches there was no noticeable improvement. Strategy is missing, as is the lack of in-match tactics. The team is vulnerable in the back and midfield at critical moments of the game. I don’t think things will get better as long as Lopetegui stays.
