Bruce Springsteen says join him.

Springsteen published a message of support for his presidential candidacy on Friday evening, November 1, accompanied by the music of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s song “Land of Hope and Dreams”.

“This election is about a group of people who want to fundamentally undermine our American way of life,” Springsteen says in the video, with his guitar from a rally stage. “Donald Trump does not understand this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American.

“I want a president who respects the Constitution, who does not threaten, who wants to protect and guide our great democracy, who believes in the rule of law and the peaceful transfer of power, who will fight for women’s rights, who will fight for women’s rights. Who wants to create a middle-class economy that has choice and serves all of our citizens?

“There is only one candidate who values these principles and that is Kamala Haris,” he added. “So on November 5, I will cast my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, and I urge everyone who believes in the American way to join me.”

The footage and what Springsteen says appear to be from two Harris and Walz campaign rallies that Springsteen attended, on October 28 in Philadelphia and on October 24 in Georgia.

“It’s no surprise that you support Kamala Harris because you love your country, respect women, and aren’t afraid to let the world know what you stand for,” one fan commented on Springsteen’s Instagram account.

Springsteen endorsed Harris on Oct. 3 in a social media video filmed at Roberto’s Freehold Grill in his hometown of Freehold.

“Donald Trump is the most dangerous presidential candidate in my lifetime,” said Springsteen of Roberto’s. “His disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law, and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from ever serving as president again.”

Springsteen and the E Street Band kick off their Canadian tour with a show in Montreal on Thursday, October 31. Next up, Springsteen and E Street will play Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Sunday, November 3.

Springsteen visited the set of the movie “Deliver Me from Nowhere,” about the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album “Nebraska,” in Rockaway early Friday, according to social media posts. He hugged actor Stephen Graham, who played his father Douglas Springsteen in the movie.

Jeremy Allen White, star of FX’s “The Bear,” plays Springsteen in the film, based on musician Warren Zanes’ book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.”
