As I was following the finger pointing and accusations, something suddenly caught my attention. Kamala Harris We lost badly to Donald Trump.

Watching his 107-day campaign, much of the coverage was absolutely glowing as he was portrayed as an inspirational pioneer who would unite the country.

Many media figures at that point said unequivocally that they saw Biden’s mental acuity declining and yes it was hidden from them most of the time, but wasn’t that obvious? Several said White House officials told them as much as two years ago that there was no way Biden would run for re-election. But of course this was off the record.

In short, even if the president appeared confused or took the wrong turn, much of the press supported him.

And you wonder why the media’s credibility ratings are in the toilet.

Just like in the Biden case, in the Harris case, many journalists hid the harsh reality of their problems until it was no longer in their interest.

According to Politico, “Democrats are directing their anger at Joe Biden for losing the presidential race, whom they accuse of dragging Kamala Harris into failure by not letting go sooner.”

“They say his advancing age, questions about his mental acuity, and deep unpopularity put Democrats at a huge disadvantage. They are angry that they were forced to accept a candidate that voters made clear they didn’t want, and then stayed in the race long after it became clear he couldn’t win.”

On the same site, columnist Jonathan Martin “Biden sympathizers want to pin the blame for his loss on her,” he says, “while Harris defenders believe she was undeniably at fault for creating the prohibitive political environment she has proven unable to overcome.”

“How can Harris defenders complain about being dragged down by Biden when he can’t find a single core policy issue that will break ties with the unpopular incumbent?”

Moreover, “where was the courage? Defensive policy, no attempt was made to give confidence that he would govern the country from the center and reject the extremists in both parties… If the other party attacks you as a liberal without a clear and concise explanation. But that’s where Harris comes in to paint a rosy scenario when things are actually dark — even if there’s nothing she can do to stop Trump’s juggernaut.
