Emergency Services Day event returns to Berkeley County this month

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) – Berkeley County families will have the chance to meet first responders who could one day save their lives at the county’s Emergency Services Day.

Cypress Gardens will host the second annual event on Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3030 Cypress Gardens Road in Moncks Corner.

Families can meet Berkeley County first responders and emergency services and watch live demonstrations to learn hands-on CPR, how to stop bleeding and how to be better prepared for disasters.

In addition, the Berkeley County School District will have district information, the Berkeley Animal Center will have animals available for adoption, and there will be food trucks at the event.

This year’s Emergency Services Day is at Cypress Garden’s Berkeley Co. It coincides with the Free Saturday event for residents, where they will receive free entry with proof of residence. Cypress Gardens is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entry at 4 p.m.
