Narcis Pelach: Stoke boss pleased with belief in win at Blackburn

Stoke City’s coach Narcis Pelach is happy to achieve back-to-back victories for the first time this season.

Wednesday’s 2-0 win at Blackburn followed a 2-1 win against Derby at the weekend.

“We competed very well, the belief and challenge was the maximum we could offer,” Pelach told BBC Radio Stoke.

“We knew the first 20 minutes would be difficult and we prepared for it, we talked about being competitive and then waiting for our moment.

“The team was excellent in terms of effort, energy and desire and you have to make sure you stay in the games and that’s what we did.”

Stoke will be at home on Saturday to get Millwall into shape before the international break.

“Back-to-back wins are important because it brings confidence to the team, but this is just one win, we need to get it over with and think about our next game against Millwall.”
