Bangor topped Camden Hills in the A North final and earned a return to the state title game

OAKLAND — Bangor defeated Camden Hills for the second straight year to win the Class A North girls soccer crown with a 3-2 win over Messalonskee High School on Tuesday.

Bangor (16-1) will face Southern champion Scarborough (14-1-2) in the Class A championship game on Saturday at Morse High School in Bath.

The second-seeded Windjammers (16-1) took an early lead on a goal from Britta Denny.

Teagan Athlerley tied the game with a goal for the top-seeded Rams with about 10 minutes left in the first half.

Clara Oldenburg put Bangor ahead 2-1 at the start of the second half, then Gabby Roy added an insurance goal with 11 minutes left.

Camden Hills cut their deficit to one goal with another goal from Denny. The Windjammers took a free kick from 18 yards out with 1:35 left, but the Rams cleared the ball to secure the win.
