Portnoy called LaPaglia a “revolving door” of relationships during a July 2023 episode of “BFFs.” When Bryan found out months later, the singer banned Portnoy from his show and began fighting with his then-girlfriend. The second “sensitive” story Portnoy recalled came when LaPaglia walked the Golden Globes red carpet without Bryan and apparently mentioned one of the male celebrities who was there. Bryan apparently unfollowed LaPaglia on Instagram and blocked the “BFFs” account.

“He seemed really immature, I don’t trust myself baby” Portnoy said at the time.
