The suspect was arrested in Redford Twp. domestic violence shooting

Redford Township police arrested a suspect in a fatal domestic violence incident Monday.

Officers responded to a home in the 15000 block of Delaware Avenue around 12:23 a.m. Monday and found an unresponsive man in his 30s shot, the County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

The Redford Township Fire Department treated the man and took him to Corewell Health Hospital in Farmington Hills, where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.

Police detained a suspect who remained at the scene. Authorities did not specify the name or identity of the suspect in the statement.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there remains no danger to the community.
