Muncy Target employee found dead in store | News, Sports, Jobs

PENNSDALE — A young female employee at Target, 170 S. Lycoming Mall Road, was found dead at the store early Saturday morning, pinned between an elevator she was operating and the frame of an interior door, Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. said. He said Monday.

State police said the death was accidental and identified the woman as Brianna Burley-Inners, 26, of South Williamsport, according to a news release.

“He was last seen by his colleagues at around 23.30 on Friday. At midnight, as employees were finishing their shifts, the closing manager radioed Burley-Inners and asked if he was on his way. the police said.

When there is no answer,

Police said employees went to check on him.

“He was later found hunched over an elevator with his body wedged between the elevator and the door frame wall.” said my version.

One of the employees immediately called 911 around 12:10 p.m.

Police said co-workers manually overrode the manlift to lower the woman so they could begin giving her cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Pennsdale volunteer firefighters and UPMC paramedics arrived, but efforts to revive Burley-Inners were unsuccessful.

Kiessling said his office was told the woman was using the elevator near the pharmacy to clean the lenses of security cameras near the ceiling.

Kiessling said he somehow got stuck between the piece of equipment and the door frame. Kiessling said the accident was not witnessed by other employees at the store, which was closed at the time.

Police said in the press release: “It is unclear how the incident occurred. There was no indication of suspicious activity.”
