The teen was found shot to death in NW Harris Co. after witnesses heard gunshots and the car speeding away.

HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together events that led to the death of a teenager in the northwest on Sunday night Harris County Witnesses reported hearing gunshots but only seeing a car speeding away from the scene.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., when deputies were called to the Evolve Champions Apartments on TC Jester Boulevard for a shooting in progress.

When they arrived at the scene, investigators said an unidentified 17-year-old boy was dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Some witnesses outside told officers they heard the gunshots but were not around to see what happened.

However, they saw a car fleeing the scene and later reported finding the teen before calling 911.
