A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the fatal stabbing of another teenager in Marston Green.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Marston Green on October 29.

He is also charged with possession of a knife and will appear before a judge in Birmingham today (November 4).

Detective Inspector Michelle Cordell, from the force’s Homicide Squad, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the 17-year-old boy who died on Tuesday. We are working day and night to determine what happened and why.

“This is a significant development in our investigation and I would like to thank those who have already come forward. I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.”
