Today’s NBA Best Bets (Predictions, Prop Bets for Cade Cunningham, Franz Wagner, Mavs-M)

Sunday’s NBA action features just three games, but it could be an excellent place to buy low on some players who have had expanded roles so far this season.

It’s been a slow start to the season for you when it comes to NBA betting but I like a few backs and a side to turn things around on Sunday.

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham, Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner and New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado are valuable targets on Sunday, especially with some injuries surrounding their teams.

Let’s break down the choices.

Cade Cunningham More Than 23.5 Points (-120)

Cade Cunningham wasn’t able to provide that boost in back-to-back games, scoring 22 points in each game, but he was well on his way to cleaning up the scoring against the New York Knicks before playing limited fourth quarter minutes as Detroit lost by 30 points. point.

On the season, Cunningham is averaging 25.0 points on 20.2 shots per game and scoring 23.5 points in three of the five games he played.

I expect his minutes to increase starting with Friday night’s game against New York, as the Pistons are only 2.5 points behind on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn surprised a lot of people early this season, but they’re still a poor defensive team (19th in defensive rating), which should bode well for Cunningham as a scorer.

I think Cade, who lost 22 points without even attempting a single free throw against the Knicks, can be in line for a comeback in a much easier game on Sunday.

Jose Alvarado more than 10.5 points (-130)

New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado was in the starting 11 that did not include Herb Jones, CJ McCollum, Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy III in the last two games.

The experienced point guard scored 16 and 12 points in these matches and made 12.5 shot attempts per game.

This bet is definitely a volume game. The Pels currently have a limited bench with plenty of two-way players despite all the injuries, and Alvarado has played 35 and 32 minutes in their last two outings.

This advantage against the Atlanta team, which ranks 28th in the league in defense this season, is a little low in my opinion.

Franz Wagner Over 20.5 Points (-115)

Paolo Banchero (torn) will miss the Orlando Magic on Sunday, leaving Franz Wagner ready for a big game.

After scoring 17 points on 8-of-19 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wagner should once again act as the No. 1 option in the Orlando offense.

He averaged just 17.7 points per game but opened the season with 23 or more points in three straight games before illness limited him. But against Cleveland, he was down until the 30th minute, a sign that he should see his regular role against Dallas on Sunday.

In Banchero’s absence, the Magic are looking for scoring options behind Wagner and Jalen Suggs. That means Wagner should see a steady dose of shooting on Sunday. Wagner, who averaged 19.7 points per game last season, can take another small step in Paolo’s absence.

Dallas Mavericks -7 (-105) vs. Orlando Magic

As much as I like Wagner’s support in this game, I’m still betting that Dallas will finish the job and hide on Sunday.

Orlando couldn’t compete with the Cavs offensively on Friday night, failing to pull off an eight-point road upset and now that’s down to seven points against Western Conference champion Dallas.

The Mavs are just 2-3 against the spread this season, but they should be able to outlast an Orlando team that is struggling without Banchero (4-9 all-time) and without Goga Bitadze and Wendell Carter Jr. (both questionable). in this matchup.

I can’t get behind this Orlando team considering their lack of offense without Banchero on the floor. The Magic are just 2-4 against the spread this season and 1-2 ATS.
