Missing Colorado college student found dead in national park

MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The search for a college student ended tragically after her body was found in a national park in western Colorado.

Dallas Roberts, 19, a Colorado Mesa University student, was last seen on Oct. 28 heading into Gunnison National Park’s Black Canyon. 11 Sister news channel KKCO reported that park rangers located Roberts’ vehicle crashed down a hill 50 meters from the road and inside the park that same day, but Roberts’ whereabouts were unknown.

Two days later, the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office appealed to the public for help finding him.

Over the weekend, the sheriff’s office said the case came to a devastating conclusion when the teenager was found dead. No information regarding his whereabouts and manner of death has been disclosed.
