Two women injured after falling from mountain train

TANEY COUNTY, Mo. (KY3/Gray News) – Two women were injured when they fell from a mountain train, according to authorities.

Jim Ferguson of the Western Taney County Fire Protection District said firefighters were called to Shepherd of the Hills near Branson, Missouri, around 6 p.m.

Two women suffered moderate injuries after falling off the ride on the Copperhead Mountain Coaster, Ferguson said. The women were taken to hospital.

The Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the incident.

According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, the women were in their 50s and fell out of the car at a curve about six feet above the ground.

The vehicle is closed and will not be opened until authorities finish their investigation.
