Outside or outside? Rishabh Pant’s dismissal in Mumbai leaves fans divided

Fans are completely divided on social media following Rishabh Pant’s risky dismissal by Ajaz Patel in the second innings of the non-Mumbai Test on Sunday (November 3). Pant was dismissed by Ajaz in the 22nd over after the Indian batsman tried to bowl the ball. Defend as you go down the track. The ball hit the pads, flew into the air and went straight into the hands of Tom Blundell.

The on-field decision was out and New Zealand decided to use their only remaining review to overturn the decision. Snicko showed a bounce as the ball approached the pads, but Pant argued that the willow hit the pads at the same time. However, the third umpire said it was a deviation from the bat and awarded the wicket to New Zealand.

Pant was completely upset by the call and took a long walk towards the pavilion, where he continued to claim that he had not touched the ball with the bat.

The decision will divide fans on social media, with some siding with Pant and others feeling that this decision is no longer valid. Many felt that the 3rd umpire took the wrong decision and Pant was robbed in the end.

While some said it was over, they also praised Pant for his gutsy knock on a track where India’s batting order was disrupted on Day 3. See some of the reactions below:

Rishabh Pant’s amazing series against New Zealand

Despite his dismissal and attitude, Pant can be happy with the job he did in the 3 matches against New Zealand. Pant scored 261 runs in 6 innings at an average of 52.20 and a brilliant strike rate of 89.69.

Pant took the field in Mumbai on Sunday and the Indians’ run was in complete disarray. India lost 3 wickets for just 18 runs and fell to 29 for 5. The Indian wicketkeeper scored a fifty in just 48 balls and was the last hope for India to get a win.
