Mt Kenya Leaders Rally Behind Kahiga After Gachagua’s Removal: “Kenya Needs You”

Nyeri – A number of governors have called on Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga to take a key leadership role in the Mt Kenya West region following the sacking of former vice president Rigathi Gachagua.

During a celebration honoring Kahiga’s recent achievement of a doctorate in leadership, Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki praised Kahiga’s abilities and described him as a national leader who should not be limited to Nyeri county.

Njuki emphasized that Kahiga’s leadership potential extends beyond the district’s borders and will benefit larger companies. Mount Kenya Western region.

“Mr. Mutahi, Kenya needs you. You have served the people of Nyeri very well, but you should not be limited to this county,” Njuki said.

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, who was also present at the event, echoed Njuki’s sentiments, stating that Kahiga is suited to broader responsibilities on the national stage.

Sang’s support further fueled calls for Kahiga to take on a broader role following Gachagua’s dismissal.

“We know for a fact that Kahiga wasn’t just designed for Nyeri. It’s important material for the bigger things he’s already doing in this country,” Sang said.

The leaders also called for peace and unity among Mt. Kenya West and East After the former Cabinet Secretary was sworn in Kithure Kindiki becomes the new vice president of Kenya.

“Let us never have a region divided because of politics. Let us never reach a point where I cannot visit Nyeri and Governor Kahiga cannot come to my district,” Njuki said. he advised.

Kahiga urges Ruto to include Nyeri economically

Addressing Gachagua’s dismissal, Governor Kahiga called on President William Ruto to ensure Nyeri remains an integral part of national development plans.

He urged Ruto not to sideline the county, emphasizing that Nyeri residents strongly supported the Kenya Kwanza administration in the recent elections. The district chief stressed the need for continued economic focus on Nyeri.

Gachagua makes humble appeal to William Ruto
