Paul George Talks About the Essential Element of the Acceleration Process

After an impressive offseason, Philadelphia 76ers It was a team that many enjoyed seeing in action at the beginning of the regular season. But so far things haven’t gone according to expectations. With Joel Embiid away from the field, Paul George also remained on the sidelines.

PG was on the field briefly for the Sixers during the preseason, but had to leave the field due to injury. The All-Star forward suffered a bone bruise in his knee after his leg locked up awkwardly against the Atlanta Hawks.

George spoke to the media at practice on Friday as he continues to work on his return to the field. He noted that cardio was one of the main elements for him as he prepared for his regular season debut.

“I think it’s more cardio at this point.” George said. “I’m just getting my conditioning ready so that when I come back I don’t suffer any injuries because I’m tired or exhausted.”

There is no set timetable yet for when George will return to the squad. The team announced that he and Embiid participated in scrimmages, but both were ruled out of Saturday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Getting back to full strength is crucial for the Sixers as they look to get back on track. Tyrese Maxey did his best to lead the offense, but that didn’t stop the team from coming out of the gates to a 1-3 start.

Since cardio is George’s main focus at this point, it looks like he’ll be able to get back into action sooner rather than later. However, the team will continue to be cautious with its stars, aiming to be healthy for the postseason.
