Access will be from Marsh Meadow Way, with a proposed 25-car parking area, as well as an ambulance/taxi drop-off area with three disabled/mobility spaces close to the main entrance.

A secure bike shop will also be provided, according to the plans.

Those behind the scheme estimated it would create 50 to 60 jobs, with staff working rotating shifts.

“The majority of care home jobs created will also be expected to be filled by suitable candidates from the same local area,” they said.

Residents are also expected to come from an area no more than three miles away from the site or have relatives in the area, they added.
