Thompson Park’s gates are closed for the season

Two gates on Highway 2 that provide access to Thompson Park in southeast Butte are closed for the season. They will reopen on May 1.

However, the park remains open to the public on foot or by bike. A limited number of plowed parking spaces are available in front of both gates, which serve as unofficial winter trails.

Technology students included in nursing community

The Sherry Lesar School of Nursing at Montana Technological University is the newest member of the Zeta Upsilon at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. An induction ceremony was recently held at Tech for all Montana Tech, Carroll College and Montana State University students.

After several years of hard work, the charter was amended to allow Tech to join Carroll College and Montana State University.
