OSHP seeks help locating vehicle in connection with double-fatal crash

MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded to a double fatal crash Thursday night and is searching for a vehicle in connection with the crash, according to a statement.

According to the statement, the crash occurred at 10:12 p.m. on I-71 near milepost 206 in Westfield Township.

OSHP said its preliminary investigation revealed that a Volvo commercial vehicle was disabled in the right lane while traveling southbound on I-71.

A southbound 2018 Chevrolet Trax struck the vehicle, and then an unknown third vehicle hit the Volvo and ran away.

According to the statement, the 73-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, Mark D. McGraw, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 68-year-old driver of the Volvo, Daved N. Brown, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The unknown vehicle is believed to be a maroon or red commercial vehicle that caused heavy passenger and driver side damage, OSHP said.
