Houston Texans 13-21 New York Jets: Garrett Wilson stunt inspires Jets to comeback victory

Garrett Wilson caught two stunning touchdown passes as the New York Jets ended their five-game losing streak with a 21-13 win over the Houston Texans.

Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers also made an impact; He completed 22 of 32 passes for 211 yards and three touchdown passes, leading the Jets to their first win since September.

It was also the Jets’ first victory under interim coach Jeff Ulbrich and moved them into second place in the AFC East.

The highlight was Wilson’s two acrobatic one-handed catches in the third and fourth quarters.

His first move at the beginning of the third quarter tied the scores. The second was even more impressive; Wilson leaped with both feet to receive Rodgers’ 26-yard pass from the back of the end zone.

It was initially ruled an incomplete pass due to Wilson not landing either foot in the end zone, but after video review the decision was reversed.

New York trailed 7-0 at halftime after a slow opening. Rodgers completed just seven of 14 pass attempts for 32 yards; This is his lowest figure in the first half of his career.

Rookie forward Malachi Corley was also disallowed a goal after video review showed that premature celebration caused him to drop the ball in front of the goal line.

Joe Mixon scored the lone goal in response for the Texans, who remained atop the AFC South despite their third defeat of the season.
