Taylor, Texas – 2 people died in the accident Taylor Thursday morning, police said.

Taylor police said around 9:27 a.m. on Oct. 31, officers responded to the 13400 block of Chandler Rd. referring to an accident.

Preliminary information revealed that a 2014 blue Honda driven by Daniel Siguenza, 35, of Taylor entered the intersection in the 13400 block of Chandler Rd. From CR 266.

Honda failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a 2012 dump truck driven by 49-year-old Douglas Baker.

Police said the Honda passenger, Siguenza and Lilliana Nava-Torres, 39, of Taylor, died at the scene.

Baker had no injuries.

There are currently no outstanding charges.

The investigation into the fatal accident continues.
